During My Interview
When Eric Prescott and crew were here taping my profile it became evident that Eric was intrigued by my proclamation that I was "still evolving."
"Still evolving into what" he wanted to know.
I feel the answer is well defined by the President of the Self-Realization Fellowship, Sri Daya Mata, from the little book, Sayings of Yogananda:
"...the purpose of life is the evolution, through self-effort, of man's limited mortal consciousness into God Consciousness..."

The Vegan Peace Declaration
Thank you dissidentvoice.org and Lee Hall for making us think about the terms we use in clarifying animal-rights concepts to others.
Please visit their site and also friendsofanimals.org where I was able to find their link.

Exciting Photo Opportunity
In other news, here is a copy of an e-mail I just opened up from Photoshelter ( a photoblogging/networking/resourcing site I have been a member of for awhile)!:
"Dear Carl,Great news! An image of yours has been added to PhotoShelter homepage slideshow. This means you're just one of 20 members selected to represent our community of 40,000 photographers. For the whole month, we'll display your image on the "Images" tab on PhotoShelter's homepage. We'll also provide a screenshot and link to your archive on the "Examples" page of our product tour, and feature you in an announcement on our blog! Thanks for making us look good. We're delighted to be working with you. Best regards,The PhotoShelter Team "
Soooo...I invite you all to take a look, and, of course, pass it along to others!
Scroll down when you get there...3rd up from the bottom on the right side>

THE FACE ON YOUR PLATE
by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson.
Here's a favorite excerpt:
"It is a bit puzzling why we feel that something not like us deserves less respect. That it's death is less troubling."
A reviewer of the book on the Amazon site says: "Here, here. Some people think fish are vegetables. You know those people who say, "I'm a vegetarian but I eat fish." Those people really need to read this book. "
